Business Card Distortion

I’ve been needing a way to leave my information with people – and a business card is certainly a way to do that.

I’m not breaking any new ground with this idea, but I thought it appropriate to build a business card around a distortion circuit. The card contains the values for all the components listed within their footprints on the card. Anyone with a card can -and should– populate the board with thier respective components. With the addition of a little bit of off-board wiring, you should have a functional little circuit.

It’s nothing too wild, just a simple OpAmp distortion circuit with a bit of a wacky layout. It offers a decent amount of drive while retaining quite a bit of transparency and dynamic response depending on how hard you want to play.

If you have a card and are looking to go for ‘the full build’, I’ve included a drilling template for the enclosure I used. By all means, feel free to get creative about it. I was able to fit it into a pretty standard 1590BB enclosure pictured below.
